5/26     Tour of Tianmen Square and Land-Mark Structures on the Square including Mao’s Mausoleum, People’s Heroes’ Monument, and People’s Congress; Visits to the Forbidden City (or Imperial Palace); Imperial Garden; And Beijing Major Shopping District of Wang Fujing at Night.

5/ 27    Climb the Great Wall (Ba Daling Section); Partaking in Tea Ceremony; Visit to Pearl Cultivating Farm; Bus Tour of Major Olympic Facilities including the Bird-Nest Stadium.

 5/ 28    Visit to the Temple of Heaven; Visit to Tongren Cultural Center; Shopping at Silk Market; Visit to Ancient Market of Ming Dynasty; Visit to Ancient Private Residence Museum; Visit to the Summer Palace.

 5/29     Visit to Beijing Zoo to See Giant Pandas; Depart for Return Trip to America

Desperate to write, desperate to clear my head.

Filling the pages with thoughts line to line, pen to paper worlds are born between the lines.

Life, Love, Conflict, Death; all born from the simple stroke of the pen and ink.

Every fiber clinging to the thoughts despritly desperately just for the sake of remembrance,

for the sake of the life unknown.

Words keeping the truth of the silent untrue...

As the pen strokes the page and the mind utters its thought spewing forth new life of the unknown;

another life, another place another time...born safe from the ravages of time

if only it were true to excape from the chains that bind us to reality...

If a tree falls in the woods and nobody is around to hear it does it make a sound?

Simply put, no -- sound is a mental image created by the brain in response to vibrating molecules. Similarly, there can be no pitch in music without a human or animal present. A suitable measuring device can register the frequency made by the tree falling, but truly it is not pitch unless and until it is heard.

A bowl of pudding only has taste when I put it in my mouth -- when it is in contact with my tongue. It doesn't have taste or flavor sitting in my fridge, only the potential. Similarly, the walls in my room are not "white" when I leave the room. They still have paint on them, of course, but color only occurs when they interact with my eyes.

Humans...beholders of beauty.
